BSR Screen Recorder 4.4.1

We have our minds to help us keep track of things. Thanks to our minds we can remember where we put an important file, we can remember what steps to take to launch an application, and we can remember what steps to take when something goes wrong and we have to troubleshoot our computers. But unlike our computer, we are not machines – and we will forget things.

A recording would be helpful. For example a recording of the steps you have to take to perform a certain task – this way you don’t have to remember these steps, you can just watch that recording.

To come up with such a recording you need a specialized piece of software. Like for example the BSRSoft-developed BSR Screen Recorder, an application that weighs in at little over 12MB (so it might take a while to download if you have a lousy internet connection).

What can you do with this application? The name is a dead giveaway, but I am going to say it anyway: BSR Screen Recorder will record anything that is displayed in the screen, which to my mind is perfect if you want to come up with a tutorial for example. The application records everything – and turns it into pictures or video (audio included). It can record video in the following formats: AVI, SWF and WMV.

You can use it to record the entire screen, or just a specific region of the screen. You can use it to record audio from the mike, speakers, audio CD, MIDI, and so on. You can use it to record online videos and webcam streams.

BSR Screen Recorder works with all versions of the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system. This includes Windows XP, Windows Vista and the latest and greatest, Windows 7. The application is free to try (shareware). The trial version is limited: a watermark is displayed on the output.

BSR Screen Recorder is an easy to use application that will record everything displayed on the screen. It is a useful tool if you need to come up with tutorials for example.
